Private Client Tax Senior – Leeds

Location: Leeds

Salary: £30,000 - £38,000

Numero Recruitment are actively recruiting for an established and well-regarded firm of accountants in Leeds that would like to recruit private client tax senior into their experienced team.

The role will involve looking after a portfolio of personal tax clients including HNWIs, company directors and partnerships for whom you will be responsible for ensuring that all compliance work is completed accurately and efficiently.

As well as the compliance aspect of the role, there will be the opportunities for the successful individual to gain some exposure to tax planning work, working closely with the partners in the office on advisory projects.

The ideal candidate may be ATT qualified or qualified by experience and will have significant experience of managing their own portfolio of personal tax clients.

The Role:

• Managing a client portfolio and and act as the main point of contact.
• Work alongside the partner, focusing on complex compliance issues including IHT, CGT & Entrepreneurs relief.
• Overseeing the annual compliance cycle on your client portfolio.
• Review tax returns, correspondence and advice drafted by more junior members of the team.
• Maximize advisory opportunities within your portfolio  and deal with ad hoc advisory and planning issues.
• Prepare tax advisory letters, memos and reports and review drafts prepared by more junior members of the team.
• Support junior members of staff.

Requirements:

• Similar experience within a UK practice firm
• Ideally be ATT and/or CTA qualified or studying towards.
• Be a confident communicator with previous experience of dealing with a portfolio of clients.
